According to the UK newspaper The Daily Telegraph, they believe that the smoking dried vulture brains and other ancient ‘muti’ which is their organic traditional medicines, has caused reduction in the vulture population. “Wildlife specialists have warned that vultures face extermination in South Africa among a rising trend for smoking their dried brains so as to get a vision of winning lottery numbers,” as reported by the newspaper this week.
